K-Pop, Nvidia, UFOs, and Peace in Ukraine

round-table

K-Pop, Nvidia, UFOs, and Peace in Ukraine

Turns out, we're all K-Pop fans.

Eoin discussed the K-Pop concert he attended (with his daughter), Simon watches KPOP Demon Hunters, I've followed the NewJeans contract saga, and Shaoping is such a fan she's skittish about expressing her views publicly.

In our eighth Curia livestream (watch it by clicking here), we also discussed the quality of Nvidia's sales (Simon is a believer, whereas I play accounting wonk by pointing out that their accrual income exceeds operating cash flow), how falling defense stock prices could signal upcoming peace in Ukraine, Trump's professed $2,000 "tariff dividend" checks, the falling US dollar, West Virginia's attempt to annex some Virginia and Maryland counties that "share its values" and four stock ideas:

Shaoping likes Diageo (NYSE: DEO).

I like Alphabet (Nasdaq: GOOG).

Simon likes DraftKings (Nasdaq: DKNG).

And Eoin, in a not-so-subtle flex of K-Pop expertise, offered up Tencent Music Entertainment (NYSE: TME), which will benefit from a deal with K=Pop record agency SM Entertainment.
